Riverside Writers – 10am-12noon – Rochdale Central Library, Number One Riverside
This week our session features a workshop from Sue Smith titled ‘Somebody give this heart a pen’. The title, borrowed from a book, refers to writing about our feelings, writing from the heart.
We will talk about how creative writing can be a positive force for our mental well-being. We will consider the Confessional movement in poetry and there will be creative writing exercises linked on the theme.
There is no need to book, just come along to the library with your writing materials and ideas.As always our session is open to anyone aged 18+ and there is no charge. For those who wish to contribute towards the running costs of the group voluntary donations of £2 are very welcome.
