Riverside Writers Thursday 27th August – 10am-12noon – Rochdale Central Library, Number One Riverside
This week our session features a workshop from Ray Stearn titled ‘Countryside Writing’.
Rays session will use the life and poetry off John Clare for inspiration. We will look at and discuss some examples and take the inspiration into new writing of our own. There will be opportunity to create new work and, for those who wish, to share with the group.
There is no need to book, just come along to the library with your writing materials and ideas.As always our session is open to anyone aged 18+ and there is no charge. For those who wish to contribute towards the running costs of the group voluntary donations of £2 are very welcome.
Rochdale Writes online writing group – Tuesday 25th August – 6.30pm to 8.00pm (BST) – Online (Zoom)
The theme for the ONLINE writing group this week will be ‘Trees’ with inspiration from poetry and images and plenty of chance top discuss and write, and to share your work for those who would like to.
Although based in Rochdale (UK) the group has attracted participants from further afield and all aged 18+ are welcome to join us. You do not need to be a seasoned writer and everyone from complete beginners to professional writers is welcome. The session is free and you can join using the link below to enter the waiting room from where the facilitator can admit you to the meeting. There is no need to have your camera or microphone switched on and there is a chat window available.
