Poetry Café is an open mic poetry evening held on the first Tuesday of the month from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Coffee on the Corner in Littleborough. This is a free event hosted by Liz White and Seamus Kelly with excellent homemade cakes and drinks available from the café – please support the café owners by purchasing drinks and cakes on the evening.

Heywood Scribblers is a monthly creative writing group hosted at Heywood Library. The group is organised by Katie Haigh and meets on the first Wednesday of the month from 1:15pm to 3:15pm.

Number One Writing Group (formerly Writers On Tap, formerly Touchstones Creative Writing Group) meet on the first Thursday of the month from 2:00pm to 4:00pm with workshops facilitated by experienced/professional writers. The sessions are held at Rochdale Central Library.
