Poetry Café, Coffee on the Corner, Littleborough, 6pm to 8pm – Tuesday 5th May
Come along to share or listen to poetry a great open-mic style event. There is always a great variety of poetry and should you wish to read (your own work or favourites) please let Seamus know on arrival so you can be added to the list. This is a free event and all are welcome, no need to book. Please support Coffee on the Corner by purchasing some of their great selection and homemade cakes plus hot and cold drinks, they really are excellent.
Heywood Scribblers, Heywood Library, 1.10pm to 3.10pm – Wednesday 6th May
This month the Heywood Scribblers will be themed ‘Present and Past’ and will be led by Lynn Lovell. This is a free event and there is no need to book. Heywood Scribblers is led by Writer and Poet Katie Haigh and can be found as a Group on Facebook.
Riverside Writers, Rochdale Central Library, Number One Riverside – 10am to 12noon, Thursday 7th May
What If? A session led by Seamus Kelly will use the important question That is central to creating stories, poems, scripts etc. There will be plenty of chance to join in, generate some interesting ideas and to write some new pieces. Imagine – What If Dracula went to the Arctic Circle instead of Whitby. There will be plenty of questions and prompts to get you going.
Riverside Writers sessions welcome anyone aged 18+, the sessions are free and there is no need to book. Donations of £2 towards the cost of running the group are welcome – but they are voluntary.
Number One Writing Group, Rochdale Central Library, Number One Riverside – 2pm to 4pm, Thursday 7th May
Crystal/Clarity – Seamus Kelly will lead a session with a focus on making sure that your readers get the message that you want them to get. There will be a few tools to explore and plenty of chance to start creating some new work (whatever your genre). There is no need to book and the sessions are free although voluntary donations of £2 are welcome from those able to pay.

12th May 6.30pm – A new, free, Online Writing Group begins a trial, twice monthly run, hosted by Seamus Kelly for Rochdale Writes. The group is intended to cater for those unable to attend physical sessions and those who cannot attend sessions during office hours.
