Thursday 16th October, 10am – 12noon
Rochdale Central Library, Number One Riverside, Rochdale
As we head towards Halloween at the end of this month the spiders webs, skeletons, ghosts, vampires, pumpkins and plastic gravestones are popping up in front gardens around the country. In keeping with that the Riverside Writers are being treated to a workshop by our own Ray Stearn, who is but a shadow of his former self (is that spooky or what?).
Ray’s workshop “Ghosties and Goulies and things that write poems in the night” will take place in safe daylight conditions, as far from the haunting hour as we can manage. There will be plenty of encouragement to create new poetry to send a tremor through the stoutest of hearts (or just to have some fun).
As always our session is open to anyone aged 18+ and is free of charge although we do welcome donations towards the cost of running the group. Just come along with your imagination, something to write with and perhaps some garlic….

I am unable to attend your session on ghosties& ghouls this week.
But, as I’m trying to get back into writing, here’s a haiku:
🌘
ghost trees exuding
sinister toxicity
empty moon hangs fire
🔥
Hi Sandra, Thanks for this and happy to see you are getting back into writing. Best wishes.
