Riverside Writers, Thurs 30th July 10am-12noon
Rochdale Central Library, Number One Riverside, Rochdale
This week Eileen Earnshaw will lead a workshop titled “Writing in Context”.
As creatives the nature of what we write will be affected by where and when we live. In this workshop Eileen will look to writers working in the period between WW1 and WW2 for discussion and inspiration. There will be plenty of chance to write and to share the work created should you wish to do so.
Riverside Writers sessions are held weekly and are free of charge. There is no need to book and anyone aged 18+ is welcome to join us. We do collect a completely voluntary donation of £2 from those who wish to support the running costs of the group.
Rochdale Writes ONLINE Writing Group, Tues 28th July, 6.30-8pm
After having to cancel our last session, due to what turned out to be a fairly short term medical issue, I’m happy to confirm that Rochdale Writes CIC will be hosting another edition of our online writing group on Tuesday 28th July from 6.30-8pm. So far the group have been inspired by nature, colour, art, water and the sun and it has been lovely to see and hear the ideas and pieces of writing that have been created and shared.
This week’s session will follow a similar format with images and words for inspiration, discussion and plenty of opportunity to write and share.
I’ve been asked if we could talk about adjectives and description in creative writing so we will have a brief look at those while not delving too deeply into technicalities.
The link for the session is below (We will use this same link for meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month until the end of the year).
PLEASE CLICK THIS LINK TO JOIN MEETING
The link will be live about 15 minutes before we start so that there will be time to admit those joining.
See you on Tuesday evening!
