Riverside Writers is a supportive and friendly creative writing group, based in Rochdale, and established by renowned and award winning poet Eileen Earnshaw.
The group meets every week with writing workshops designed to provide inspiration, share techniques and build skills to support participants in their own creative writing. Occasional longer term projects and events offer opportunities to share our writing with a wider audience through publication and performance.
All genres of creative writing are encouraged and we welcome writers aged 18+, with any level of experience, to join our sessions.
Riverside Writers sessions take place on Thursday mornings from 10:00am to 12:00noon at Rochdale Central Library, Number One Riverside, Smith Street, Rochdale.

Refreshments: are available from the Bean cafe within the Number One Riverside building.
Public Transport Access : The Library is ideally placed for access by public transport, being right next to the Rochdale Interchange with the Bus Station and Metrolink terminus just a minute away on foot. The Metrolink from Rochdale railway station runs approx every 12 minutes and takes only a few minutes.
For those travelling by car: There are several car parks nearby with Council car parking free of charge for up to 3 hours, there are some disabled spaces at Riverside and the shoppers car park next to Marks and Spencers is very convenient for the library and reasonably priced.
