Last Thursday morning Eileen Earnshaw delivered a workshop session about writing Flash Fiction, and this week, Thursday 23rd May, the group will continue working on this theme.
So what is Flash Fiction?
There are various definitions but all of them involve telling a complete, fictional story in around 1000 words or less. The story needs to have everything we expect to make a complete tale, but it needs to be brief.
Flash Fiction is great in itself and a very popular format. It is also a vey useful practice for all creative writers as the techniques and disciplines it brings are beneficial to all genres and styles – too many words is never a good thing.
The session as always from 10am to 12noon, in Rochdale Central Library, Number One Riverside, Rochdale. All welcome – just bring something to write with and your imagination.
