In a change from our regular venue the Riverside Writers will be meeting from 10am to 12noon at the Rochdale Local Studies Unit, Norman Rd, Rochdale OL11 4HS.
The aim of this week’s Riverside Writers session is to collect research about Rochdale and Lancashire which will help to inform writing at following sessions back in our regular venue at Rochdale Central Library. We will be presenting a range of writing on Rochdale and Lancashire at an event at Rochdale Town Hall on 31st May.
The Local Studies Unit will be giving us access to computers and lot of physical records including council minutes and content from the Rochdale Observer. If you haven’t been to the unit (normally based in Touchstones) it is well worth a visit with a wealth of information available.
