A day in the park

Thursday 29th May 2025, 10am – 12noon

Riverside writers session at the Rochdale Central Library will be led by Eileen Earnshaw with a theme of “A day in the park”.

That should create lots of inspiration, trigger memories and, no doubt, provide lots of different approaches to the theme.

The session as always if free, although we do welcome donations, and everyone 18+ is very welcome to join us.

Folk Like Us – Rochdale Town Hall – Sat 31st May

This Saturday the fabulous Rochdale Town Hall has been made available to us for a free event with a focus on Rochdale and Lancashire. Alongside the poetry tours with Riverside Writers and Number One Writing Group we will have the Littleborough U3A choir, the Littleborough Brass Band and the Edwin Waugh Society, plus an organ recital from Barrie Brailsford. There is a fun children’s poetry writing session with Ray Stearn and an adults Lancashire theme poetry workshop with Seamus Kelly.

Poetry Café – Coffee on the Corner, Littleborough – Tues 3rd June

This monthly open mic style poetry evening takes place from 6pm to 8pm on the first Tuesday of each month. The free event is organised by Liz White and Seamus Kelly and you are welcome to come along to share your poems or. To enjoy listening to the poets. Please support the café who host us by purchasing a drink or two and perhaps some of their excellent home made cakes.
